Conka mobile app

Overview

Conka is a personal logistics app I designed to redefine how individuals deliveries. Inspired by the increasing demand for reliable, transparent, and real-time delivery solutions, Conka offers a full suite of features typically found in commercial logistics platforms. Users can request pickups, assign dispatch riders, track orders live on a map, and receive proximity-based notifications that indicate how close their “corner” (delivery agent) is to the drop-off location. This proximity intelligence feature improves user confidence and reduces the need for constant check-ins. The app also supports secure in-app messaging, delivery history, multiple order statuses, and confirmation receipts. Built with both users and dispatch riders in mind, Conka is designed to make logistics seamless, efficient, and human-centered.

Challenges

Designing Conka came with several design and conceptual challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was creating a real-time tracking experience that felt dynamic and informative without overwhelming the user. I had to ensure that the proximity updates were useful and visually digestible. Balancing the dual needs of customers and dispatch riders within one system also required carefully planned user flows and screens that catered to both without making the experience feel bloated. As a personal project, I had no development team or business constraints, which gave me creative freedom but also meant taking full ownership of product decisions, user journeys, and competitive positioning. I had to validate my assumptions independently through user research and benchmarking against top-tier logistics apps

Deliverables

I handled the end-to-end product design for Conka, covering both customers and dispatch riders. This included conducting user research and developing personas, creating user flows and wireframes, and designing high-fidelity UIs for key features like onboarding, order placement, live tracking, and delivery confirmation. I built a mobile-first, responsive design system with components for maps, buttons, modals, and status indicators. I also created interactive prototypes for usability testing and documented key edge cases, such as failed deliveries, location permission issues, and rider reassignment.

Result

The result was a polished, user-friendly logistics app that clearly communicates every step of the delivery journey. The proximity-based tracking feature received particularly strong feedback from users during testing, they appreciated being able to see exactly how far the delivery agent was from their location in real time. The design also achieved a clean balance between function and form, allowing users to place, track, and confirm deliveries with minimal effort. Conka not only showcased my ability to handle complex logistics workflows and real-time data presentation but also demonstrated my strength in designing with empathy for multiple user roles. While still a personal project, it stands as a complete case study of my product thinking, visual design, and user experience skills in action.
