Project Overview
Auditor is a music streaming and download platform built to give listeners a single place to discover, stream, and download music, while giving the platform's internal team the tools they need to manage content, artists, and users behind the scenes. I participated in the design of both the responsive listener-facing software and the internal admin dashboard, contributing to an experience that needed to feel energetic and immersive for music fans on one side, while remaining clear, efficient, and data-dense for the operations team managing the platform on the other.
Project Goals
The goals for Auditor were to deliver a genuinely responsive listening experience that preserved emotional engagement with music across every device size; to keep core playback controls fast and accessible regardless of screen constraints; to bring order and clarity to a growing set of internal operational needs through a well-structured admin dashboard; and to create a consistent visual language that tied the public-facing platform and the internal tooling together as one coherent product.
Project Challenges
The core challenge with Delphi was organizing a potentially large and varied library of educational content in a way that felt approachable rather than overwhelming, while also making sure that responsive behavior didn't compromise the readability and focus that learning content demands. Educational platforms often struggle with dense navigation and cluttered course catalogs, so the challenge was building an information architecture that let users quickly find relevant content by subject, level, or format, without burying them in menus. On smaller screens in particular, maintaining comfortable reading experiences for longer educational content while still leaving room for clear navigation and course structure required careful, deliberate layout decisions rather than a simple scaled-down version of the desktop site
My Approach
For the responsive listener experience, I worked through each core breakpoint deliberately rather than simply scaling a desktop layout down, rethinking how elements like the persistent player bar, playlist browsing, and search needed to reorganize as screen real estate shrank, while keeping album artwork and core playback controls prominent at every size. I paid close attention to touch target sizing and thumb reachability on mobile, since a huge portion of listening happens one-handed while a phone is in a pocket or being glanced at.
For the admin dashboard, I focused on establishing a clear information hierarchy, grouping related actions together, surfacing the most frequently needed data and controls first, and using consistent table and card patterns so that staff moving between the content, artist, and user management sections never had to relearn how to interact with the interface.
What I Delivered
On the responsive software side, I contributed to the design of the core browsing, search, playlist, and now-playing experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints, along with download management screens for offline listening. On the admin side, I helped design the main dashboard overview, content and catalog management screens, artist profile and payout management sections, user account oversight tools, and reporting and analytics views, all built with a consistent visual and interaction language so that the admin experience felt like a natural extension of the same product rather than a bolted-on internal tool.
The Outcome
The responsive redesign meant Auditor's listener experience held up consistently whether someone opened the platform on a laptop at home or a phone on their commute, which the team noted was a meaningful factor in keeping session lengths steady across device types rather than seeing engagement drop off on smaller screens.
On the operations side, the redesigned admin dashboard significantly cut down the time staff spent locating specific artist or content records, since the improved information hierarchy meant fewer clicks and less back-and-forth between disconnected internal tools. Overall, the project helped Auditor present a more professional, cohesive face both to its listeners and to the internal team keeping the platform running.
