Project Overview
Delphi is an education hub website built to bring together courses, learning resources, and educational content in one accessible, well-organized digital space. I designed the complete responsive website experience, ensuring that learners could discover, browse, and engage with educational content comfortably whether they were on a desktop at a library or study space, or on a phone learning on the go.
Project Goals
The goals for Delphi were to create a clear, intuitive content taxonomy that made discovering relevant educational material effortless; to design a reading experience genuinely optimized for extended learning sessions; to ensure that experience remained consistent and comfortable across every device size; and to give learners clear structural cues, like progress and navigation, so they always understood where they stood within a course.
Project Challenges
The core challenge with Delphi was organizing a potentially large and varied library of educational content in a way that felt approachable rather than overwhelming, while also making sure that responsive behavior didn't compromise the readability and focus that learning content demands. Educational platforms often struggle with dense navigation and cluttered course catalogs, so the challenge was building an information architecture that let users quickly find relevant content by subject, level, or format, without burying them in menus. On smaller screens in particular, maintaining comfortable reading experiences for longer educational content while still leaving room for clear navigation and course structure required careful, deliberate layout decisions rather than a simple scaled-down version of the desktop site
My Approach
I approached Delphi by first establishing a clear content taxonomy and navigation structure, organizing subjects, courses, and resources into logical, discoverable groupings, and designing a homepage and browsing experience that surfaced relevant content quickly based on common learner intents. I designed a typography and layout system specifically optimized for extended reading, with generous line spacing and comfortable line lengths, then adapted that same system responsively so that reading comfort was preserved from desktop down to mobile rather than sacrificed for the sake of fitting more onto a smaller screen. Course and lesson pages were designed with clear progress indicators and structured navigation between lessons, so learners always understood where they were within a broader course and what was coming next.
What I Delivered
I delivered a fully responsive website design covering the homepage and content discovery experience, subject and category browsing pages, individual course and lesson pages, search and filtering interfaces, learner account and progress-tracking pages, and supporting pages such as about and contact sections, all built from a consistent design system that scaled cleanly across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.
The Outcome
The redesigned Delphi website gave learners a noticeably easier path to finding relevant courses and content, and the improved reading-focused layout was highlighted by stakeholders as a key factor in longer average session times on lesson pages. The responsive design ensured the platform performed consistently well across devices, which mattered given that a significant share of learners accessed the site from mobile devices during commutes or breaks rather than sitting down at a desktop.
